FSY-conferences

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced today an expansion of large-scale youth conferences for Latter-day Saint young men and young women. For the Strength of Youth (FSY) conferences have been operating outside the United States for more than a decade under the direction of area presidencies and area leaders. These conferences will now be a part of the new Children and Youth effort in the United States.

Update (April 13, 2020): Due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, For the Strength of Youth (FSY) conferences scheduled to be held in the U.S. and Canada in 2020 have been postponed until 2021. Learn more

Beginning the year they turn 14, Latter-day Saint youth can attend these 5-day conferences every other year until they graduate from high school. Some stakes will begin FSY in 2020. Young single adults can volunteer as FSY counselors.

FSY conferences are modeled after Brigham Young University’s Especially for Youth (EFY) program. Adult leaders do not attend FSY conferences with the youth from their wards and stakes.

Youth, parents, and leaders will learn more about FSY conferences and the Children and Youth effort on September 29 in a special presentation during the second hour of the Sunday block and in a Face to Face Event for Children and Youth on November 17.
